The next highest hand is a straight flush, which is four consecutive cards of the same rank (for example 4 aces) but not a royal. Finally, a full house is a three-of-a-kind plus an ace.

The winning poker hand is the one with the highest ranked combination of cards in the showdown. Sometimes there is a tie, in which case the winning player receives all of the money that was put down as buy-in at the beginning of the round.
